Volunteering at All Saints Home-Hougang

All Saints Home's Volunteer Group was set up on 6th Sept 08, when a group of volunteers joined the Volunteer-A-Day 2008 programme organised by Volunteer Initiator Person (VIP) and Volunteer Management Workgroup (VMW) under (NVPC) National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. There are 140 elderly. As a new vol group, we are looking for more new volunteers to join us on alternative Saturday from 2.30pm-6pm in elderly activities,mass games, handicrafts,outings and festive events.

Salt Bottle Making - 15 Jan 2011

Led by a group of 5 bubbly & vibrant students from Singapore Poly, the residents had a fun time making salt bottles with the rest of the volunteers :D

Ingredients needed:

Preparation work (Sorting out the mini alphabet macaroni):

Mini like ants...Wish we had auto sorting like excel spreadsheet...

Started off with our usual warm up exercise....

Tadaaaaa, here it is :D

Happy faces, feeling good about themselves with a sense of accomplishment. All uncle & aunties went back happily with their handmade salt bottle.
